Information
If you belong to an NHS Trust that is participating in this trial and have been assessed as needing high intensity cognitive behavioural therapy you are eligible for the UPLift Your Life programme. You can read the detailed participant information sheet here .
You will have the option to complete a consent form and questionnaire using a weblink that the NHS has sent to you via mobile phone text message or email. If you complete the consent form, our research team will get in touch with you to explain how you can register onto the UPLift Your Life programme, and we will connect you with an NHS therapist that will offer you treatment as soon as possible. If you have not received the link, or have lost the message or email, please contact your NHS Talking Therapies Service and ask them to resend the link to you.
If you decide not to complete the consent form, you will continue to be on the waiting list to access cognitive behavioural therapy in your local NHS Talking Therapies Service, and there is nothing else you need to do until they contact you to offer you a therapy appointment. However, we don’t know exactly how long you’ll have to wait.
Below you can see an example of an introductory video from the UPLift Your Life programme.
Your participation in this programme and clinical trial is likely to help you to recover from your mental health problems in a short space of time. By participating, you will also be making an important contribution to scientific research in mental health. Your participation will help the research team to figure out a way to make therapy faster, more engaging and more effective for thousands of patients each year – a real win-win for all.
