UPLift Your Life: Inviting you on a journey to better Mental Health and Wellbeing
A unique opportunity to benefit from an innovative online group therapy programme for overcoming anxiety, depression and other common mental health issues, with a personal app included.
Mental health problems such as anxiety and depression affect thousands of people in England and can have a huge impact on all aspects of life. Talking therapies for these mental health problems are available in the National Health Service, but long waiting times and the need to travel to appointments can make this a difficult journey. We are on a mission to make this journey to recovery faster and better.

This UPLift Your Life programme is an innovative way of receiving therapy for common mental health problems. It’s accessed through a free personal app. The embedded videocall software makes it easy to join the group therapy, and appealing content, including animations, video and interactive tools facilitate the group therapy, and aid effective learning of skills for managing mental health issues.‍‌‌‌‌

Throughout the therapy, the app helps users to track their steps toward achieving their personal goals, monitor changes in symptoms and well-being over time, and gain insight into their week-to-week improvements.‌‌‍

As a participant, you’ll benefit from 12 weekly online group therapy sessions, led by a qualified and experienced NHS therapist. Group therapy provides a safe, private space where participants can connect, share, and support each other, helping them discuss their problems, and to feel less alone. The app’s engaging explanations, advice and self-help resources for applying skills learnt in daily life are an integral part of this therapeutic journey. As an NHS-led treatment, the UPLift Your Life programme is completely free for all NHS patients.‌‌

You’ll also receive weekly videos with engaging explanations and advice, and self-help resources to apply everything that you learn in your daily life. The group therapy also helps people to feel less alone with their problems, and to learn from and support each other in a private and confidential environment.‌‌‌‌

Below, you can see an extract from the last group session.
All the session and participant information are kept confidential. However, in the video below all the participants agreed that they were happy to share this video with potential patients.

UPLift Your Life is based on a highly effective therapy called the “Unified Protocol for the treatment of emotional disorders”, also referred to as “UP”. ‌‌Over 70 scientific studies‍‌‌‌ have investigated the effectiveness of this therapy making it a strong evidence-based therapy. It has also been found to be effective when delivered online and in groups. Delivering this as a group therapy will considerably reduce the time people have to wait for treatment, enabling them to recover much sooner.‌‍‌

This programme has been designed by an international team of expert clinical psychologists. It is delivered to patients in the NHS Talking Therapies by experienced therapists.
